This User Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding contract between you (“User,” “you”) and LegalFastDocs, Inc. (“LegalFastDocs,” “we,” “us,” “our”). It governs your access to and use of the LegalFastDocs website, mobile experiences, downloadable forms, document-customization services, and mobile notary offerings (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using any Services, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1.1 We serve the public and are not a law firm. LegalFastDocs is a document-preparation and self-help platform for consumers and businesses. We and our non-attorney staff do not provide legal advice, do not practice law, and are not your attorneys. Nothing on our site or in our communications should be taken as legal advice.
1.2 No attorney-client relationship with LegalFastDocs. Communications with LegalFastDocs are not privileged or confidential as attorney-client communications. If you need legal advice for your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney.
1.3 Premium Access with independent attorneys. Some Premium offerings may include one-time, limited-scope drafting or review by a licensed, independent attorney based on your inputs. Any attorney services are provided by that attorney not by LegalFastDocs, and only after the attorney accepts the matter (e.g., conflicts check) and you receive a written engagement/terms from the attorney that defines scope. LegalFastDocs may facilitate introductions or payment logistics but does not supervise, control, or guarantee the attorney’s work.
1.4 Notary services are separate. Our mobile notary service is distinct from document-preparation and legal review. Notaries cannot provide legal advice and do not determine the legal sufficiency of your documents.
2.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 18, legally able to enter contracts, and not barred by applicable law from using the Services.
2.2 Account Registration. Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of unauthorized use.
3.1 Forms & Self-Help Tools. We provide libraries of legal form templates and guided tools to complete documents based solely on your inputs. You are responsible for selecting the correct form for your jurisdiction and purpose and for verifying accuracy/completeness.
3.2 Premium Access (Attorney-Involved). If you purchase Premium Access, your matter may be routed to an independent licensed attorney for limited-scope drafting/review based on your facts. That attorney is solely responsible for legal services and will send you terms describing scope, fees (if any beyond your purchase), and limitations. No attorney-client relationship exists unless and until the attorney accepts representation in writing.
3.3 Mobile Notary Public. On-site notarization for acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and certified copies is available by appointment with separate fees and scheduling. Notaries do not give legal advice.
You agree not to: (a) impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation; (b) use the Services to violate law or third-party rights; (c) reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Services; (d) upload malicious code; (e) attempt to defeat security or access controls.
5.1 Your Submissions. Data, text, files, and documents you provide (“User Content”) remain yours. You grant LegalFastDocs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, transmit, and display User Content only to operate and provide the Services (including sharing with an independent attorney or notary when necessary to fulfill your request).
5.2 Responsibility. You represent you have all rights/consents needed. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of User Content.
6.1 Fees. Fees are shown at purchase and may change prospectively. Taxes may apply.
6.2 Third-Party Processors. Payments are processed by third parties (e.g., PayPal). By paying, you authorize charges to your selected method and agree to the processor’s terms. We are not responsible for processor outages, holds, chargebacks, or errors.
6.3 Refunds. Unless stated otherwise in our posted Refund Policy, (a) downloaded/self-help forms are generally non-refundable after access is granted; (b) Premium attorney work is non-refundable once the attorney begins work per the attorney’s terms; (c) notary travel deposits may be non-refundable if cancellations occur within the specified window. Contact support within 7 days of purchase to request relief permitted by policy.
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use/share it (including referrals to independent attorneys/notaries), and how long we keep it. By using the Services, you consent to such practices.
8.1 Our IP. The Services (content, software, forms, designs, trademarks) are owned by us or our licensors.
8.2 Your License. Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download and use forms for your personal or internal business use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly post our forms or content.
9.1 AS IS. The Services (including templates and outputs) are provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.
9.2 No Legal Advice. Except where a licensed, independent attorney separately agrees in writing to represent you under a defined scope, nothing in the Services is legal advice.
9.3 Jurisdictional Variations. Laws vary by state and change over time. You are responsible for confirming a form’s suitability and compliance for your jurisdiction and use case. We do not guarantee any legal result.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalFastDocs and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid to LegalFastDocs for the Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; rights may vary.
You will indemnify and hold harmless LegalFastDocs, its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Services, your violation of this Agreement, or your infringement of third-party rights.
By providing contact information, you consent to receive transactional emails (e.g., receipts, confirmations, reminders). If you separately opt in to SMS or similar, you consent to receive messages related to your transactions and can opt out at any time. Notices to LegalFastDocs must be sent via our Support Center or mailing address below.
The Services may link to third-party websites or integrate third-party tools (e.g., payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or practices.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this Agreement, suspected fraud, or inactivity. Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations already incurred. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will post the revised Agreement with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
This Agreement is governed by California law. You agree to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts of Orange County, California. You waive any right to a jury trial.
Optional (if you want stronger protection): You also agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as a class action or representative proceeding.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, labor disputes, Internet or utility failures, and actions of government.
18.1 Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
18.2 No Waiver. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver.
18.3 Assignment. You may not assign this Agreement without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.
18.4 Entire Agreement. This Agreement (plus the Privacy Policy and any posted Refund Policy and attorney engagement terms, if applicable) is the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
